Needs Assessment

Education Code 8499.5 requires local child care planning councils to conduct a Needs Assessment every five years.  Needs Assessments provide important updated information for legislators, planners, advocates, budget staff, ECE programs, community organizations, and the City regarding the availability of licensed early care and education and out-of-school time services, the availability of ECE subsidies for those who are eligible, and the indications of unmet need for subsidies by age group and neighborhood/zip code.

CPAC Needs Assessment Committee will convene in early 2022 to develop the 2022 plan.
